As of late, not a lot of really amazing good music around. Soundgarden came out, which is awesome, new Lana Del Rey is decent, but I've been listening to a band I disregarded a while ago, Swans. Been around since the early 80s and they were really....REALLY innovative. You can hear them in Pixies, Sonic Youth, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Bush, Smiths. DARK DARK MUSIC, sounds suuuper Morrissey. And Swans released their sophomore album Children Of God (My favorite of their albums so far) the same year Smiths released their debut. Pixies first album Surfer Rosa sounds like a chilled version of Swans' Filth, their first album. But the vibe is very similar. Great track by Swans, Sex God Sex. Kinda hear a little bit of a hint of the beginnings of How Soon Is Now by The Smiths....but not enough to note.
