The Residents (Sounds Like)
OK goin deep into the avant garde world with this one. The Residents. Weird dudes with crazy eyeball top hat disguises. They've been around for forever and they've been weird for forever. In.....1980 they released their Commercial Album (one of my island records) with around 40 one minute songs with full melodies and weird sounds and lyrics that was totally ahead of their time. Recently I've been listening to Art Bears and found a track, The Dividing Line, very cool, origin of the Residents' song Act Of Being Polite. You can hear the influence.
